Mr. William Thomas Shouse
William Thomas attended Carver High School. He gave service to his country in the United States Army during World War II. And he retired from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System.
Mr. Shouse attended Bethania AME Zion Church as a toddler and remained active until his health began to decline. He was a faithful member of the Men’s Choir, Sunday School, Life Members’ Organization and the Booster Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Ambrose; three brothers, Johnnie Gray, Grady and Henry Shouse.
Those family members that he leaves to cherish his memory include four sisters, Anna (Joseph) Ervin, Margaret Scales, Hannah Eldridge and Mollie McLain; a devoted sister-in-law, Doris Shouse; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013 at Bethania AME Zion Church and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the funeral service at 12 noon at the church.
