Mrs. Goldie S. Moser

Mrs. Goldie S. Moser was born on June 30, 1930 to the late James “Bubba” Sweat and Hattie Vogt Sweat Balls in Holly Hill, SC. She spent her early years in Sumter, SC where she attended Trinity Baptist Church. In Winston-Salem, Mrs. Moser was employed by Smith Dry Cleaners. She also worked for the Larry and Susie Gordon, Dr. Taylor and Dr. Rhine families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Moser and sisters: Clara M. Golden, Bessie Colwell and Jamie B. Green. Left to cherish her memory are: a sister, Gloria Jean (Clarence) French of Columbia, SC; a devoted nephew/son, James (Frances) Wright; a devoted niece/daughter, Mary Ward; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A service in her memory was held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2014 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Alvin E. Carlisle, Exodus Baptist Church, officiating.

Mrs. Doris Noble Crosby

Mrs. Doris Noble Crosby passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Oak Forest Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born to the late James Fielder and Connie Conrad Fielder in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on March 20, 1931. She graduated from Atkins High School in 1948 and attended Shaw University.
Mrs. Crosby was a faithful member of New Bethel Baptist Church. She retired from Fairchild Industrial Products following many years of dedicated service.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Crosby, Sr.; her daughter, Carolyn Noble; a son, Jerry Noble; sister, Jerlean Conrad; brothers, Yoland Conrad, George, Jerome, Alvin, Alfred and John Fielder.
Mrs. Crosby is survived by seven children, Alitia Noble, Robert (Brenda) Noble, Gregory Noble, Ronald Louis Noble, Anderson (Vanessa) Noble, Reginald Noble and Michael Noble; twenty-seven grandchildren, including the devoted Marlon, LaTasha, Reggie and Laquanda; thirty-one great grandchildren; sister, Delores Thomas; brother, Horace Fielder; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and many cherished friends.
The family gratefully acknowledges Wake Forest Baptist Health and Oak Forest Health and Rehabilitation Center for their exemplary, compassionate and professional care.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at New Bethel Baptist Church with interment immediately following in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at 12 noon at the church.

Mr. Arthur McFadden, Jr.

Mr. Arthur McFadden, Jr., affectionately called “B”, passed away at his residence on Saturday, January 25, 2014. He was born on November 25, 1936 to the late Warneta Jones McFadden and Arthur McFadden, Sr. in Manning, SC.
Mr. McFadden was a former member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church and he later joined Antioch Christian Church.
Prior to his retirement from Cox-Evans Cement Contractors, he was a finisher for Fowler-Jones Construction Company.
Those family members who survive: include his wife, Bernice Nowlin-McFadden; his children: Patricia McFadden, Ronnie McFadden, John McFadden, Shirley McFadden-Goodson (Stacy), Beverly McFadden and Ashley Jones; sisters: Bertha Adams, Bernice Frinch and Mattestine Frierson; brothers: Oliver and Clinton McFadden; a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will greet friends thirty minutes prior to the service at 12:30 PM at the church.

The strength of a mother is one who is loving, caring, strong and than can overcome many obstacles.
On January 8, 2014 at North Carolina Baptist Hospital, Ms. Brenda Kaye Roseboro was called home by her Heavenly Father, with her children and her children’s father at her side. She was born on June 17, 1958 to the late Elizabeth Roseboro.
She was baptized at an early age and was a lifetime member of Friendship Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend S.E. Tyndall. In addition to her mother. she was preceded in death by two brothers: John Robert and Thomas Roseboro.
She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Kenisha; three sons: Andre’, Dedrick (LaQueeta) and Anthony Roseboro; three sisters: Doris Gunning, Digitalis Roseboro, both of the city and Janice Eaton of California; brother, Bernard Roseboro; eleven grandchildren: her exceptional DeAndre whom she raised as her son, Kiyannah, Kaliyah, Tyshaun, Yasmine, Myriah, Amyah, Destiny, Demyah, Kyah and Justice; her lifetime partner, love and friend, Alonza Fletcher; her devoted God-daughter, Latiffanie Greer and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
