Master Charles E. Walker, III

Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord. - Acts 11:23

On September 17, 2008, God gave a bundle of joy to Charles E Walker Jr. and Calvisha Searcy at Forsyth Medical Center. Until he was able to speak, Charles (also known to family and friends as Trey) would always let you know his presence with a slap somewhere on your body. Trey started daycare at an early age-first at MudPies - Bolton and lastly The Sunshine House. He was a joy to be around and his love was quietly shown to those that were close to him. For a life so short, his love and great smiles will forever live in everyone’s heart who was a part of his life.

Trey was born with heart disease and on August 24, 2010 he began his recovery from open heart surgery. He departed this earthly life on Sunday August 29, 2010 at Wake Forest Medical Center after five days of a gallant fight.

Trey leaves cherish memories: his parents, Charles Walker Jr. and Calvisha Searcy; two sisters: Anaya Cunningham, Makaylah Walker and one brother, Charles I. Walker. Also left to mourn are paternal grandparents Ingrid (Caiphus) Rice, and Calvin Searcy, his maternal grandparents Charles Walker Sr. (Rhonda) and Nannette W. Taylor (Ronald);  a great grandmother, Ms. Daisy Walker of Greensboro, NC and great grandfather Mr. Harold Weaver of the city. There are aunts- Antonette Hardy, Betty Searcy, Natasha Fair, Kimber Fair, Ericka Fair: two uncles- Richard Walker Sr. (Jalessa) and Telvin Davis along with a host of other aunts and uncles.  In addition, there are several close cousins: Marcella Mungine, Christopher Stafford, Assata Hill, Richard C. Walker Jr., Caleb Walker, Douglas Roper, Erik Fair, Kyara Fair, and Allysiah Weston-Fair and one who was his best friend, Xzavier Hill.

He will forever be Daddy’s Trey Trey and Momma’s Baby. For a life well lived, for such a short time, he will truly be missed but never forgotten. He is an angel watching over us.

God, who holdest all souls in life; and callest them unto thee as seemeth best: we give them back, dear God, to thee who gavest them to us. But as thou didst not lose them in the giving, so we do not lose them by their return. For did not as the world giveth, givest thou, O Lord of souls: that which thou givest thou takest away: for life is eternal, and love is immortal, and death isonly the horizon, and the horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.
