Mr. Charles Ronald Williams
Ronald was a 1966 graduate of Carver High School and gave honorable service for his country in the US Air Force. After 30 years of service, he retired from Stroh Brewery and was a co-founder of Williams Removal and Transporting Service with his twin brother, Donald.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother, three aunts, two uncles and a first cousin.
Ronald is survived by one brother, Michael Wilkerson of Monroe, NC; one sister, Jo Ann (Pink) Merritt of Reading, PA; one sister-in-law, Jacquelyn Williams; a devoted cousin, Jackie (Worth) McCloud; aunts, uncles, a host of other relatives and many friends.
Public viewing will be held from 12:00 Noon until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 5th at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Carver Road Church of Christ. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service and public viewing will end at that time.

Mrs. Gracie Mae Armstrong
Gracie M. Bonner Armstrong went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 21, 2013. She was born on April 15, 1932 to the late John and Coleen Bonner.
She was a dedicated employee of Sara Lee Corporation and a faithful member of Union Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Armstrong was preceded in death by her husband, James Armstrong, two sisters and two brothers.
Those family members who survive and who will forever cherish fond memories of her include four daughters, Paula Bonner, Marilyn Jackson and Gwendolyn Bonner all of the city and Mary Ellen Armstrong, Laurinburg, NC; a son, Michael (Gloria Ann) Bonner; a sister, Opal Bonner; two sisters-in-law, LuBertha Buie, Durham, NC and Annie Mae Armstrong, Laurinburg, NC; a brother-in-law, Harry (Maggie) Armstrong, Laurinburg, NC; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, October 26, 2013 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Boyd officiating and burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service at 11:30 am and public viewing will end at that time.
Mr. Joe Scott
Mr. Joe Glenn Scott was born on October 7, 1941 in Davie County to the late James P. and Catherine Booe Scott. Joe graduated from Paisley High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Hanes Company after more than 40 years experience with the company.
On Thursday, October 3, 2013, Joe passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his brother, Louis Scott and sister, Louise Scott.
Those who survive him and who will cherish his memory include three devoted sisters: Trosia (Ashby) Champagne, Lettie (Jack) Hope and Roberta Scott, his caregiver; one devoted brother, James Scott; nine nieces and nephews: Edna Champagne of Raleigh, NC, LaTeesha (Doug) Mungin of Charlotte, NC, Ashby Champagne, Mark Champagne, Carlin Hope, Janel Hope, Nicole Scott, Levon Scott and Toras Shackleford; thirteen great nieces and nephews: Tremaine, Rosalyn, Lee, Douglas, Jr., Laila, Reggie, Kassidy, Aziah, Jason, Jonathan, Sanaa and Stephon; special cousin, Mary Scott of Mocksville, NC; a devoted friend for life, Nathaniel (Pat) Hairston.
A special thanks to Dr. Lee, 11th floor Ardmore Tower and Dr. V, 4th floor Reynolds Tower ICU and their staff at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
A graveside service was held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Salisbury National Cemetery.

Ms. Dollie Mae Hargrave
Mrs. Dollie Mae Jones Hargrave was born in 1928 to the late Willis and Emma Norman Jones in Elberton, Georgia.
Dollie graduated from the Lexington, North Carolina public schools. Following high school graduation, she was enrolled at Shaw University before family responsibilities required her help and delayed her continuance of her education. She later attended classes at Davidson Community College.
She was briefly employed by PPG Industries in Lexington and retired as a cigarette inspector from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Following her retirement she volunteered for Meals on Wheels and was caregiver to her mother and brothers.
Dollie was an excellent cook and loved flowers and gardening. Her passion for gardening gained her recognition from the city of Winston-Salem for her beautiful yard...
She was a member of First Baptist Church on Highland Avenue where she was in regular attendance at Sunday School and served on the Chorale Club choir and usher board until her health declined.
Dollie Mae Jones Hargrave peacefully passed away at her home on October 1, 2013 surrounded by her loved ones. In addition to her parents, Dollie was preceded in death by her brothers, Watson, Willie, Jamie, Hiram, Ralph, Isaiah and Jacob Jones; her sisters, Allean Jones Norman, Susie Jones Willis and Fannie Jones Lee.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted daughters, Dr. Barbara Y. Hargrave, Virginia Beach, VA and Amy F. Hargrave of the home; sisters, Emma J. Graham and Frances J. Mack of the city; brother-in-law, Dr. Ralph N. Lee, Newport News, VA; a devoted niece, Beverly D. Graham; a very special niece Mary Alice Jones Williams; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Dollie lived her life helping and caring for others and her memory will always live in the hearts of those who loved her. As a result of her guidance and love, her daughters chose careers that allow them to care for and improve the lives of others.
A very special thank you to Dr. James Dilley and the South Team of Hospice Palliative Care of Winston-Salem for their dedicated and compassionate care. The family requests that memorials be made in her memory to Hospice of Winston-Salem.
Funeral service was held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, October 3, 2013 in the Smith Chapel of First Baptist Church-Highland Avenue. The family greeted friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
