Ms. Katie Frances Lilly, 55, was called home on March 30, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at New Institution Christian Center Church. The family visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Ms Lilly leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters: Wylonda (Ainsley) Owens, Eugena (Antonio) Hairston; one son, Edward Lilly; two grandchildren, Quinton and Quincy Hairston; a host of relatives and friends; special friends, Mebane and Linda Turner.

Mrs. Odessa L. Bristol

Odessa Louise Bristol, 61, passed away on March 28, 2010 at Baptist Hospital. She was born on September 2, 1948 to the late Odell and Thelma Parker. She was a native of Winston-Salem and a graduate of Atkins High School. Odessa was preceded in death by her husband, Herman C. Bristol, her sisters, Mary Ann Jenkins and Betty Lou McGriff and devoted friend, Freddy Britton. She is survived by her daughters: Victoria (Kevin) Petree and Linda (Jose’ Perez) Brannon; nine grandchildren: Antoine Parker, Derrick Parker, Jacquelyn Bristol, Qushawn Bristol, Brittany Bristol, Raykey Bristol, Anthony Bristol, Jamal Brannon and Javon Brannon; eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 1:00PM on Monday, April 5th in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home.

Mr. Algene Delafayette Albright

Algene Delafayette Albright was born on September 27, 1957 to Betty A. Albright and the late Etheridge B. Albright. He departed this life on March 23, 2010 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
Algene attended the W-S/Forsyth County Schools and was a construction worker by trade. He was a great handyman. Algene was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother, Betty A. Albright; one son, Algene, Jr.; four brothers: Willie, Etheridge, Jr., Maurice and Clifton Albright; five sisters: Delores Smith, Sharon Albright, Rosalyn Woodard, Terrie Harris and Claudette Albright, all of Winston-Salem and a host of other relatives and friends; a very special friend, Melinda Gunnings.
Funeral services was held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 27, 2010 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends in the chapel from 1:30 PM until the funeral hour. Interment will be in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.

Ms. Betty Louise Dillard

Ms. Betty Louise Dillard, the daughter of the late Willie and Callie Dillard, was born on June 21, 1938 and departed this life on March 10, 2010.
She was a graduate of Atkins High School, class of 1956 and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 33 ½ years of service.
Betty was a faithful member of First Waughtown Baptist Church where she served on the Nurse’s Board, as a Pastor’s Aide and Pastor’s Personal Assistant, and in the Senior Retire Club
She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters: LaVerne Feggins, Kathy Dillard and Carla Tunley; seven grandchildren: LaKena Dillard, Nicole (John) Rhinehardt, Stephanie Feggins, Bobby Carpenter, Jr., Terri Feggins, Desmond Dillard, and Cieanna Tunley; four great grandchildren: Kedrick and Nakiah Dillard, Kai Rhinehardt, and Aiden Carpenter; two sisters: Elizabeth Speight and Hazel Black; a devoted cousin, David “June Pie” Dillard and a host of other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by those who were near and dear to her.
Her funeral service was held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 15th at First Waughtown Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Bishop, officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 14th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mr. Milton “Tootie” Morris Wofford, 48 of 5041 Lansing Drive was born on July 9, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Mr. Verbi Jennings and Ms. Betty Morris. Tootie attended East High School in Columbus, Ohio and was honorably discharged from the US Navy in 1991. He was formerly employed by the Brian Center and Thomasville Furniture Company. Tootie transitioned his earthly life on Saturday, March 6, 2010.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: his mother, Ms. Betty Morris of the home; one son, Eric Morris; two daughters: Ericka Morris and Ebony Watson, of the home; three grandchildren; his former wife, Mrs. Eilene Morris of Columbus, OH; three brothers: Mr. Timothy (Collette) Wofford of Columbus, OH, Mr. Antoine (Nita) Wofford, and Mr. Verbi (Sharon) Jennings, both of the city; a devoted friend, Ms. Peggy Dearman; three aunts: Mrs. Shirley Carter, Mrs. Aleane (Reginald) Bohannon and Ms. Linda Morris, all of the city; four uncles: Mr. George (Llewelyn) Morris of Ypsilanti, MI, Mr. James Morris of Jonesboro, Ga, Mr. Jefferson Morris and Mr. Jasper (Angela) Horton, both of the city; one great aunt, Ms. Lucille Evans of Ypsialnti, MI; six nieces; eleven nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
