Mr. Brandon P. Mauney
Mr. Brandon Parham Mauney passed away at his home in Charlotte, North Carolina on Sunday, February 16, 2014.
He was born on February 13, 1969 to the late Charles and Brenda Parham Mauney in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Mr. Mauney was a proud graduate of Carver High School in the class of 1987. He earned his BS degree in Management Information Systems at Winston-Salem State University.
He joined Shiloh Baptist Church in Winston-Salem at a very young age and he continued his Christian walk as a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Charlotte.
Mr. Mauney worked as an operation systems engineer for Well Fargo Bank in Charlotte and he was a member of Salem Lodge #139, PHA.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Charles Mauney, Jr.; Charlene (Andrew Dennis) Royster, Ianthe Nivens and Barenda Mauney; seven nieces and nephews; his former wife, Victoria France; 12 great nieces and nephews; three aunts, Laura(Jerome) Murphy, Daisy Mauney and Angela Mauney; uncle, Johnnie Landon; his beloved “Auntie Dear” Maxine Simmons; special friends, LaShun Huntley, Scottie Miller, Lee Witherspoon and Cribut Williamson; many other extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Shiloh Baptist Church with interment at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at 1:00 pm at the church.

Ms. Mary L. Drummond
She was a faithful member of St. John CME Church where she served with the Senior Usher Board. She enjoyed church, music and spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were her joy.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Syfonsbia Payne; grandparents, Irvin and Janie Dobson.
She leaves to cherish her memories her father, Sandy A. Payne; 3 children, Quinton T. Drummond (Stephanie), of Winston-Salem, NC, Dayna M . Graham of Fayetteville, NC, and Ebonni Drummond of Charlotte, NC; 2 Sisters and 3 Brothers, Vaughnita Solomon, Patrice E. Adams (Christopher) and Timothy Payne (Patricia ) of Winston-Salem, NC , Sandy R. Payne (Nancy) of Columbus, In and Ervin L. Payne(Rita) of Winnipeg, Canada; 9 Grandchildren, Mother-In-law, Brothers-In-laws , a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Special Thank You to Dr. Chrysson and the Staff at Forsyth Medical Cancer Center and the staff at Katie B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 17, 2014 at St. John CME Church, 350 NW Crawford Place with Rev. Peris J. Lester officiating. Interment will be Woodland Cemetery Whitaker Park. The family will greet friends 1 hour prior to the service.

Mr. Robert Sturdivant
Mr. Robert Sturdivant passed away on February 4, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born on May 5, 1949 to the late Reverend James A. and Mamie Campbell Sturdivant in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Mr. Sturdivant was of the Baptist faith. He was a graduate of Central High School in Winston-Salem and he retired from Duke Power Company after more than thirty-five years of dedicated service.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Lee, James and T. Willie Sturdivant; three sisters, Lessie Pinkney, Annette Sturdivant and Bessie Woods.
He is survived by five sisters, Mary (Wiseman) Dobson, Henrietta Timmons, Clydie Chaplin, Pauline (Carnell) Leak and Nancy Sturdivant; and a brother, Johnnie (Yolanda) Sturdivant, all of Winston-Salem; sister-in-law, Essie R. Sturdivant; and a host of other loving family members, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 4, 2014 in the Chapel of Clark S. Brown and Sons Funeral Home with interment following in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends one half hour prior to the service at 12:30 PM at the Chapel.
