Mr. Nathan Alan Carter
Mr. Nathan Alan Carter, 49, son of the late Abraham James Carter and Sarah Lash Carter was born September 30, 1963 in Forsyth County. He departed this life, Friday June 15, 2012 at Grady Trauma Center in Atlanta, Georgia after an automobile accident.
Nathan grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Detroit, Michigan, where he graduated from high school. He was formerly employed by the Pepsi Corporation in Winston-Salem, NC and Sealy Mattress Mfg. Company, Trinity, NC as a Computer Analyst.
Nathan was very devoted to his mother who left him at an early age. Upon her death, he became especially attached to his devoted Grandmother.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Angela Denise Carter. He oved his family, especially his daughters.
Nathan was a people-person who met no strangers. He loved the latest fashions in clothes and fine jewelry. When he lived in Winston-Salem he would entertain family and friends at cook-outs and other gatherings.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Angela Denise Carter; two daughters, Sarah Carter and Alasha Jones; two step-daughters, Lacrecia Withers and Wendi Speas; two grandsons, Harold and Tyler; two aunts, Melinda Lash and Frances Cloud; devoted cousins, Terry (Gwen) Carter, Anthony Carter, Michael Carter, Marc Carter, Gilda Moore, Robert Carter, Jr., Delores Carter, David Meadows, Davina Meadows Jackson, Susan Epperson, Keith Epperson, Kim Epperson, Jeffrey (Deborah) Cloud, Carmen Cannon; devoted Godmother, Frances Ferrell; mother-in-law, Celestine Sheppard; father-in-law, Charlie (Patricia) Sheppard; sister-in-law, Charlestta Sheppard; brother-in-law, Anthony Sheppard; devoted friend, Cepeda Thompson; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 22 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Mr. Carter’s remains may be viewed from 12 noon until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be no public viewing the day of the service.
