Mr. Earl Lee Davis

Mr. Earl Lee Davis, affectionately called “Big Earl,” was born to the late George Davis and Lucille Brown Davis in Winston-Salem, NC on November 27, 1942.
He attended the public schools of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County and graduated from A. H. Anderson Senior High School. He was a former employee of RJ Rey-nolds Tobacco Company.
Earl departed this life at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center in Winston-Salem on Sunday, March 8, 2015, following a period of illness. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Devoria J. Weaks Davis; a daughter; his grandson; and many aunts and uncles.
Those who survive and who will forever celebrate the life of “Big Earl” with fond memories, include his daughter, Syehilver J. Davis; son, Daren Weaks; grand-children Donald M. Stowe, IV and Jadakess M. Stowe; his sister, Carolyn Hamp-ton; two brothers, Willie (Sandra) Hampton and Ralph Hampton; his aunt, Ella Lena (Miles) Graham; a close family friend who was always there to help, Vickie Majett; Sister-in-Christ, Caregiver, “God-Sent” Angel and very close friend, Carolyn A. Scales; and a very close friend who traveled wherever Earl was to see how
his brother was doing, Nokomia Keaton.
A service in his memory will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 21, 2015 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
