Mr. Claude H. Davis, II passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Oak Forest Health and Rehabilitation Center following a period of illness.

He was born to the late Claude Harrison Davis, Sr. and Eutrilla York in Mooresville, NC on October 20, 1933.

Mr. Davis retired after working for more than fifty years. He was an insurance agent and manager for North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company and he was sole proprietor of Davis Tax and Notary Service.

He was a member of Shouse Temple CME Church where he formerly served on the Board of Trustees.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by Mrs. Mae Frances Toney Davis, his wife of over 40 years; and his siblings, Mary, Paul and Claude, Jr.

Survivors include two sons, Claude H. Davis, III (Vashti), North Myrtle Beach, SC and Joseph Wesley Davis (Judy), Trent Woods, NC; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a number of extended family members and many friends.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 6-7 p.m. in the Chapel of Clark S. Brown and Sons Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made the American Heart Association.
