Mr. John Henry Griggs, Jr. unexpectedly passed away at his home on Monday, July 6, 2015.

He was born to the late John Henry Griggs, Sr. and Minister Dorothy B. Griggs in Winston-Salem, NC on September 30, 1942.

Mr. Griggs was a product of the local school system, an avid reader of the Bible and he faithfully served his church. He was a material handler at Shepherd Vaneer Company prior to his declining health.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patty S. Griggs.

Those family members who will cherish loving memories of him include a devoted nephew, Ardeal L. Roseboro, Jr.; his brother, Reverend Calvester (Geraldine) Griggs; his sister, Minister Diane (Ardeal) Roseboro; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Prince of Peace Baptist Church with Reverend Ardeal Roseboro as Eulogist. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will greet friends thirty minutes prior to the service at the church.
