Mr. James E. Lackey, 82, passed on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at his residence. He was born on July 18, 1928 to the late Cora Bell Lackey and Willie Rowe in Taylorsville, NC. He lived majority of his life in Winston-Salem and spent many years writing insurance and preparing taxes. Mr. Lackey was a veteran of the US Army. He is survived by: a sister, Barbara (Bill) Milsaps; cousins: James (Nellie) Lackey, Ann (Charlie) Dobbins, Michael Lackey, Mabeline (Ronnie) McClain, Mary Antone, and William (Linda) Lackey; aunts: Thelma Lackey and Myrtle Rowe; God daughter, Michele Slade; special friends, Edna Coleman and Claude Davis, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 19th in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service and interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
