Ms. Carolyn Baines, 55, passed away quietly on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on March 27, 1956 in Robeson County, NC to Mr. Nathaniel Smith and Sarah Baines.

Ms. Baines attended and graduated from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. She enjoyed being with family and friends especially playing with her nieces and nephews. Carolyn also enjoyed fishing.

Carolyn is survived by her mother, Sarah; sisters: Katherine Smith of New York, Sharon (Boyd) Williams of the city; a brother, Curtis Smith; a devoted friend, Ray; an aunt, Doretha Baines; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A service of memory was held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 23, 2011 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
