Ms. Pamela J. Werts was given the gift of life on June 22, 1958 in Winston-Salem, NC.  She was the first born child to Rev. Louis S. Werts, Sr. and the Late Lillie Mae Werts.   She was called to her heavenly home on August 1, 2013 from her home in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
She graduated in 1976 from North Forsyth High School, Winston-Salem, NC and received a BA Psychology degree from Montclair State University in Upper Montclair, New Jersey.
She settled in the Montclair, New Jersey area after college. She worked for a number of years in the Insurance industry as a Claims Adjuster in NY, GA, PA, and MD and also as a Psychological Behavior Case Manager in PA. In 1988, Pamela relocated to Atlanta, GA. While in Atlanta, she was blessed with the greatest joy of her heart. Kevin Eleazer Werts was born September 8, 1990 in Atlanta, GA. She migrated to Lancaster, PA in 1992 where her sister and brother-in-law lived. Lancaster is where she made her home until her death. Her dream was always to relocate home to Winston-Salem, NC. Per her wish, Winston-Salem will be her final resting place.

From an early age, Pam exhibited a vibrant, energetic nature, so much so that she earned the nickname ‘Jumping Bean’ from her Aunt Mary. Her father affectionately called her ‘Pamzy Wamzy’. She had an Infectious laughter, one that could light up a room. Her heart was very large and had a habit of giving…in every dimension, always choosing to give and share of herself with others. Her employment didn't define her, her spirit for giving, perceiving, and enriching others truly defined the Pamela we knew and loved!

She is survived by her son, Kevin E. Werts, Father, Rev. Louis Werts, Sr. (Shirley), Brother, Louis S. Werts Jr., (Cheryl), sister Patrenia W. Onuoha (Dr. Nnamdi)
Her legacy lives on as she leaves to cherish her memory five nephews Alex, Julian, Chiderah, Andrew Onuoha, all in Lagos, Nigeria and Louis Werts III in Leesburg, VA; two nieces Chinyere Onuoha in Raleigh, NC, and Christina Werts in Leesburg, VA; Devoted Aunts Mary Shuler in Winston-Salem, NC and Lois Hixson in East Orange, NJ; devoted Uncle Henry Jones (Willie Mae) in Charlotte, NC; cousins Valerie Wilson, Brenda Hairston, Anthony McCormick, Manley Porter, Lindy Harris in Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of extended family and other relatives and friends.

Interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Winston-Salem, NC
