Mr. Ellis A. Kiser

Mr. Ellis A. Kiser, Jr. was born on February 7, 1937 in Winston-Salem, NC. One of three children born to the late Ellis and Esther Whitlock Kiser, he departed this earthly life on April 27, 2011.

Mr. Kiser was a former member of Saints Home United Methodist Church and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Donald Caldwell; two brothers, Billy Kiser and Roy Drummond.

Ellis is survived by his wife, Kathleen; daughter, Sonya (Clavoski) Peaks; grandson, Nicholas Peaks; three sisters-in-law: Laverne (Elmer Ray) Hawkins, Swanetta Stowe and Daphne Drummond; two brothers-in-law: Sheldon Thompson and Frederick Thompson; an aunt, Mildred Wright; a devoted niece, Almer J. Hawkins; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM Monday, May 2nd at Second Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. The service will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Donald Stowe, Jr., officiating and Reverend Gwathney Leak, eulogist. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
