Mr. Kenneth "Mooney" Wilson

Mr. Kenneth Monroe Wilson “Mooney” was born to the late Henry and Mildred Sims Wilson in Winston-Salem, NC on November 7, 1965. He was a graduate of Parkland High School and gave honorable service to his country in the US Navy during Desert Storm.
Mr. Wilson worked for EG Forrest Produce Company and the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools until declining health limited his ability to work. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He loved teaching and working with children and he was the drummer for numerous churches and choirs.
Mr. Wilson departed this life on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters: Wanda Carlene Bitting, Juanita Glenn and Almetris Denise King. Those family members who survive and will forever cherish loving memories of him include Savier Peoples Wilson, his wife of 22 years; his daughters: Charavina Reader, Deannea (Antonio) Pate, Brittany Reader, LaShai Williams and Jonai Kennedy; sister, Valerie (Harvey) Dees; his brothers: Henry (Alma) Wilson of Phoenix, AL and Fred (Carol) Wilson of the city; his grandmother, Nellie Cooper; mother-in-law, Rosa Y. Peoples-Williams; sisters-in-law, Teresa Young and KaYanna Glenn; brother-in-law, Xavier (Deborah) Peoples of Marion, TN; 16 grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; his best friend, Chris Joyner; God fathers, Floyd France and Carnell Leak, many other extended family members and friends.
The family will greet friends beginning at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Friendship Baptist Church, Rev. Lester Boyd is pastor. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 Noon with Rev. J.R. Stowe, eulogist. Interment will be in Salisbury National Cemetery.
