Mr. Nello Pittman, Jr.

Mr. Nello Pittman, Jr., of 1042 Thurmond Street, was born July 5, 1952 to the late Nello Pittman, Sr. and Mary Ann Transou Pittman. Nello graduated from North Forsyth High School and was a US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He had a passion for gardening, NASCAR and working on cars.
He entered into eternal peace on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Pittman leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Drusilla Pittman; two sons: Nello Pittman, III and Abdul Pittman; daughter, Apryll Pittman-Ellis (Kenneth); sister, Beverly Pittman; three step-sons: Darius Whitson, Ron (Debbie) Whitson of Greensboro, and Robert Jarrett; nineteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; an aunt, Clara (Marvin) Cremedy, three uncles: Fred (Shirley) Transou, of Lewisville, Allen (Pauline) Transou, Earnest (Kathy) Transou of Farmington; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, September 24th in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will be in Salisbury National Cemetery.
