Mrs. Princella H. Lash

Mrs. Princella H. Lash was born on February 15, 1950 in Forsyth County, NC to the late Irene Hughes Hairston and Walter Leggett. She attended the local schools and spent the majority of her life raising her children. After her children became young adults, she became an entrepreneur and opened a small boutique selling apparel.
Mrs. Lash was known for praising God and knowing His promises. She formerly belonged to Rainbow Tabernacle of Faith and later joined Uncompromising Word Fellowship.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lash was preceded in death by her oldest brother, James E. Hairston, Sr. and a grandson, Joseph Thorns.
“Silla” as she was known to family and friends leaves the legacy of her love to her husband: Michael E. Lash, Sr.; children: James (Rosalind) Thorns, Jr., Pamela Thorns, Robin Thorns, Monica Thorns, Regina Thorns (David) Godbolt, Nerissa Thorns (Shabaka Hairston), Michelle Lash (Kenneth) Williams, Michael (Tiana) Lash, Jr., Travon Lash (Kelvin) Wilson and Laura Lash (Demarcus) Brown; 32 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; siblings: Montana Stimpson, Michael (Phyllis) Hairston, Quinton Hairston, Inez Hairston (Robert) Davis; Arlesia (Andre’) Harris, Danzie Dunn, Blonnie (Herbert) Dunn, Thelma Thompson, Constance Leggett, Walter (Wilhelmina) Leggett, Jr., Carolyn (Frank) Shepherd, and Elsie Blanche Brooks; father and mother-in-law, Fred Miller (Lizzie) Lash; a sister-in-law, Vanessa Conrad and 3 brothers-in-law: Kenneth (Vernessa) Wright, James Lash, Wayne Lash and Fred Lash; two aunts: Inez H. Hairston and Sally B. Hughes; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family wishes to acknowledge with appreciation the kind expressions of sympathy extended during their period of bereavement. Special thanks to Hospice and Palliative care-East Team, Center Grove Baptist Church, Helena Epstein, Lorrain Harris, and special thanks to Wake Forest Baptist Health, God bless your medical staff.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, November 16, 2012 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Hairston, officiating. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
