Mr. Milford Goldsmith "Butch"

Mr. Milford Lewis Goldsmith “Butch” was born on July 22, 1948 in Greenville, SC. He was one of eight children born to the late Wilton and Eloise Kilgore Goldsmith. Butch attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County public schools and graduated from Carver High School. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War receiving a Purple Heart. Mr. Goldsmith was an employee of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company retiring after 35 years of service. Butch was a member of the East Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He passed away on Monday March 30, 2015. Butch is survived by his loving wife, Paulette; 3 daughters: Monica (Chris) Goolsby, Chirae Dubose and Jana Goldsmith; 5 sons: Kevin (Felicia) Goldsmith, Steven Goldsmith, Christopher (Brandi) Hairston, Milford Goldsmith, II, Alexander (Michelle) Rice, II; 18 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; T.C. Kilgore, a very close cousin, a host of relatives and friends. A service in his memory will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 4259 Northampton Drive.
