Mr. Royace A. Myers
Mr. Royace Alexander Myers, “R.A.”, was born on May 15, 1950 to the late Reverend Royace and Elnora Phillips Myers. He was the oldest child of seven born to his parents. He was educated in the W-S/Forsyth County School System where he attended Atkins High School. He was well-known in the community for his auto-mechanic skills. Throughout his life he was employed by several companies in the Winston-Salem area.
Mr. Myers passed away quietly at the age of 65 on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Angela D. Myers and his youngest brother, Bradford Myers.
Those left to cherish Royace’s memory are his children: Dr. Tiffany N. Gatling, Garner, NC and Royace A. Myers, Jr. of the home; one grand child, Bryson Alexander Gatling; two sisters: Roslyn (Odell) Jones and Patricia A. Myers; three brothers: Michael W. Myers, Russell (Alice) Myers and Radford K. (Patricia) Myers, all of Winston-Salem; an aunt, Gracie Richardson; two uncles, Aldine (Eliza) Myers and David L. (Doris) Myers; nieces and nephews: Teresa Myers-George, Aaron Myers, Darwin Myers, Adrian Jones and Radford Myers, Jr.; a host of cousins and friends. Royace will be fondly remembered by a loving and devoted friend, Nancy Cowan.
The family will greet friends from 7:00 PM until 7:45 PM on Friday, October 23, 2015. A service in his memory will begin at 7:45 PM, officiated by Reverend Belinda Harris.
