Mr. George R. McIntyre


George Raymond McIntyre, affectionately called “Scooter,” was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on August 12, 1974 to the late George Roebuck and Charzetta Ann McIntyre.
He was educated in the public schools of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County and graduated from West Forsyth High School.
Following high school graduation, George worked for K and W Cafeterias, Inc. (Coliseum Drive) and he later was gainfully employed in various areas of Build-ing and Construction.
“Scooter” enjoyed watching football and basketball games. He was especially fond of the games that featured his Dallas Cowboys or the Tarheels of the Uni-versity of North Carolina.
On Monday, March 17, 2014, George passed away unexpectedly at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Those family members who survive and who will forever cherish fond and lov-ing memories of “Scooter” include his daughter, Tashema McIntyre; his step-mother, Mrs. Brenda Roebuck; a sister, Linda McIntyre-Jones; three brothers, Anthony (Wanda) Earle , DePaul Peoples and Charles McIntyre; an uncle, Roy Roebuck; a special friend, Angel Henry; lifelong childhood friend, Donald Bruton; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and many friends.
A service of memory was held at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home on Sunday, March 23, 2014.
