Mr. Kester Kenyatta Evans, 23, passed away at his home in Winston-Salem, NC on Monday, May 12, 2014. He was born to the late Samantha Diggs and Gregory Evans, Sr. in Orangeburg, SC on August 16, 1990.
Kester was a 2012 graduate of Carter Vocational High School in Winston-Salem. He was a very artistic young man who loved music and basketball.
In addition to his mother, Kester was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lucille Bailey and his grandfather, Thurmond Diggs.
Survivors include his father, Gregory Evans, Sr.; his adoptive parents, Hope and Tony Jordan; sister, Kashawna Scott; brothers, Gregory Evans, Jr., Joshua Jordan, Gerian Slater and Therron Toppin; grandmother, Curley Mae Brunson; grandfather, Leroy Bailey; a nephew; and his especially devoted great aunt and uncle, Nathaniel and Alice Jordan.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Clark S. Brown and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service at 11:00 am in the chapel.
