Mrs. Carolyn A. Andrews
Mrs. Carolyn Ann Andrews was born December 8, 1940 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Earnest C. and Bessie Lewis Thompson. She received her education from Winston-Salem School System graduating from Anderson High School. Carolyn and Willie have been together over 47 years.
Carolyn touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity and maintained her trademark smile all the way to the end. She devoted much of her time as a caregiver to her family. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her three sisters Barbara Thompson Williams, Sharon Elizabeth Thompson and Kaye Louise Thompson and two brothers Earnest Donald Thompson and Ashley Mills (Teddy) Thompson.
Most precious memories will be cherished by her loving husband Willie Andrews of the home; five children: Reginald Antonio Thompson, Deborah Andrews (Leo) Farrington, Willette Andrews, Willie Andrews III, and Terry D. (Stacy) Andrews; five grandchildren: Leo Andrews, Krystal Farrington, Brannon Farrington, Alasha Ingram and Tasiana Andrews; four great grandchildren: Jeleel Robinson, Ka’Niyah Frazier, Kyrah Frazier and Elijah McCoy; four sisters: Earnestine Thompson of Winston-Salem, Constance Thompson (Horace) Scott of Oklahoma City, OK, Betsy Thompson (Orestes) Williams of Plainfield, NJ and Debra (Robert) Bryant, Rocky Mount, NC; seven In-laws: Harry (Linda) Andrews, Christine (John) McDonald, Ella Mae Laws, Lavern (Agnes) Andrews, Thomesania Kennedy, Rosemary Andrews and Pauline Henry; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Union Baptist Church. The family will visit with friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery
