Miss Colistia Glenn

Ms. Colistia Glenn was born to the late Reverend George A. Glenn and Mrs. Viola Washington Glenn in Belmont, NC on May 29, 1947.

She was a member of First Baptist Church (Highland Avenue). She once served as church secretary and recording secretary of the Sunday School. Her employment history included clerical positions with the Ministers’ Conference and Morning Star Baptist Church and caregiver for the Maxwell Grier Family.

Colistia attended the public schools of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County and graduated from Paisley High School in 1966.

Ms. Glenn passed away from WFU Baptist Medical Center on April 4, 2015, following an extended period of illness.

Survivors include her devoted brother, George A. Glenn, Jr.; sister, Arlinda M. Fulton; ten nieces and nephews; thirteen great nieces and nephews; friends, Dorothy Unthank, Theresa Duren, Nan Chinn, Lola Franklin, Mr. and Mrs. James Graham and Lisa Werts.

A Graveside Service celebrating her life will take place at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 13, 2015 at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC. The family will greet friends from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Clark S. Brown and Sons Funeral Home.
