Mr. John Henry Jordan, Jr.

Mr. John Henry Jordan, Jr., 83, died peacefully Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born February 18, 1931 to the late John Henry, Sr. and Lillie Mae Jordan in Laurinburg, NC. “John Henry” as he was affectionately called was a dedicated and loving husband and father. Always happy to lend a helping hand. He was a dedicated employee of Douglas Battery with over 50 years of service to the company. Left to cherish their memories of him are: his loving wife, Annie V. Jordan; one son, John H., III (Patricia) of Welcome, NC; six daughters: Betty (Billy) Summers, Betty Jordan, Brenda Jordan, Patricia Jordan, Linda Mitchell and Angela Jordan; three brothers: Nathaniel, Sr. (Alice), Charlie and Charles Jordan; four sisters: Fannie Times, Elizabeth Davis of Mt. Vernon, NY, Shirley Brown of Atlanta, Ga and Lucille Monroe; sixteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, January 16, 2015 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
