Ms. Sherlie M. Peoples

Our mother, Sherlie M. Peoples went home to be with Jesus on July 31, 2014. She was born April 26, 1937 to the late Mamie B. Gwynn and William “Son” Peoples in Winston-Salem, NC. Ms. Peoples was a graduate of Atkins High School. She was a retiree of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company and also a Foster parent and substitute teacher. Ms. Peoples was a devoted member of First Waughtown Baptist Church.
She was a pillar in her community and will be dearly missed by many but especially her seven children: Joseph Branson, Jr., Angela Boston, Beverly Branson, Robin Hatcher, Anthony Branson, Christopher Branson and Cameron Peoples; a host of grandchildren; several brothers and sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, August 4, 2014 at First Waughtown Baptist Church. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
