Mr. Jaicee C. Corbett

Jaicee Calvin Corbett passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2011. He was born January 1, 1934, in Cleveland County, NC to General and Mary Corbett. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict, and retired from RJR. “Pony Soldier”, as he was known, was also a brick mason and carpenter who owned his own business. He also held a fifth degree black belt in martial arts, and taught martial arts to many children and young adults. He was a friend to many and a good neighbor who shared his back yard garden. He held a great love for deep-sea fishing, and looked forward to trips with his fishing buddies.
“Papa San” leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Luseal Corbett; three sons: Leon (Stephanie) Stimpson; Vincent Westmoreland; and Jay (Blinda) Corbett; adopted daughter: Alana Hamilton; two grandchildren: Turquoise Corbett and Christopher Anthony; one great-grandchild: Brian Johnson; six sisters-in-law: Ozelle Holland; Mary Fields; Faye Davis; Kay Stimpson; Annie (Harry) Baylor and Janet Brown. Four brothers-in-law: Robert Stimpson; Joseph (Debra) Stimpson; Herbert (Patsy Stimpson); Allen (Rosemary) Stimpson; special friends: Robert Simmons, Chalmers Bohannon, Calvin Ward and Tony Barr; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A family visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Tuesdya, August 30, 2011 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
