Mrs. Elaine E. Hargraves

Mrs. Elaine E. Hargraves, 89, passed away on January 27, 2012 in Seymour, IN after a period of illness. Mrs. Hargraves was born on September 13, 1922 in Asheville, NC. She grew up in Winston-Salem and was a graduate of Atkins High School. Mrs. Hargraves retired after 42 years of service at Montaldo’s Department Store. Her husband, Carl Hargraves and son, Carl Hargraves, Jr. preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Carolyn Witherspoon of Seymour, IN; a granddaughter, Carol Tate; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2012 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Aldine Ingram., officiating. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
