Mr. James M. Floyd

Mr. James M. Floyd, 96, of Winston-Salem, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.  He was born December 9, 1914 in Jonesville, SC to Jerry and Elizabeth Floyd. He retired from RJR Tobacco Company in 1977 where he served for 40 years. He was a member of Kimberly Park Holiness Church for over sixty years, where he served faithfully as a Sunday School Teacher and Chairman of the Deacon Board. James was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Queen. He leaves to cherish many fond memories to his two sons; James Floyd (Tina) and Gerald Floyd (Cheryl); nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 12:30 PM on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Kimberly Park Holiness Church.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
