Mr. Richard L. Williams

Mr. Richard Leonard Williams, 95, Quality Independent Living passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center.
He was born March 18, 1919 in Clemmons, NC to the late Alfred and Etha Williams. In addition to his parents he was preceded by brothers Ernest and Albert Williams. Sisters, Ruby Moyer, Margaret Ware, Pauline Wilson and Mary Dulin.
Richard attended Nelson School in Clemmons NC and served honorably during World War II in the US Army. Richard was employed with Watkins Bookstore and then by Integon (GMAC) Insurance for over 29 years.
Richard was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He was a faithful member of Carver Road Church of Christ until his health failed.
He is survived by his loving wife Lessie Williams; Daughters: Barbara (Roger) Bailey, Lillie (Leroy) Nelson, Laura Bellanger and Nina Ricci; Son, Roscoe (Linda) Burgess; 16 Grandchildren, 37 Great-Grandchildren and 9 Great-Great Grandchildren; Brother: Willie G. Williams and Brother-In-Law, Frank Dulin, numerous nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, August 21 2014 at Carver Road Church of Christ with Brother Jefferson Caruthers officiating. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Salisbury National Cemetery.
