Miss Patricia McFadden

Miss Patricia McFadden, “Tricia” as she was affectionately called by her siblings, was born on July 28, 1956 in Kingstree, SC to the late Arthur McFadden, Jr. and Bernice Nowlin McFadden. She attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and graduated from Parkland High School. She is an alumnus of Montreat-Anderson and Mars Hill Colleges, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work. Patricia was employed for over 18 years in Early Childhood Education positions. She was also employed as a Resident Manager for Family Services, Winston-Salem Battered Women Shelter for more than 9 years.Tricia was a member of St. Marks Missionary Baptist Church and faithfully attended the St. Mark Women’s Fellowship. Tricia enjoyed reading, painting, drawing and writing beautiful poetry. Those who knew and loved her will cherish many fond memories but especially her service to others. She passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, March 30, 2015. Ms. McFadden is survived by her mother, Bernice Nowlin McFadden; sisters: Shirley McFadden (Stacy) Goodson, Beverly McFadden and Ashley Jones; brothers: John McFadden and Ronnie McFadden of Oceanside, CA; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at St. Mark Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
