Deandre Gary Barnett-Taylor also known as "Fat Fat," beloved son of Deandra Barnett and Jurone Taylor was born on June 18, 2010 in Winston-Salem, NC. During his short time with us, Deandre touched many lives with his smile, strength and determined spirit. He enjoyed music, family and friends by his
bedside. He especially liked you to run your fingers through his hair. Deandre fought a good hard fight, but was quietly taken from us on January 25, 2011. He was adored and loved by all whom he came in contact with and will always be loved in our hearts. He was preceded in death by his sister Juroney Barnett. He is survived by his parents Deandra Barnett and Jurone Taylor; two sisters: Tatyanah and Maniya Taylor and one brother, Malik Taylor; grandparents: Wanda Brinkley-Lewis, Gary and Gwendolyn Barnett, and Elvonia and Edward Durham; great great aunts: Florence Moreland, Ellen Simpkins, Marie Cole, Jeanette James, Twiller Collick, and Elsie Collick; great great uncles: Anthony Cole, John Cole, Larry Collick; great aunts: Janice M. Barnett, Brenda Barnett, Nicole Fuller, Janice A. Barnett; great uncles: Francis Barnett, Michael Barnett, Wayne Barnett, Steven Barnett, Gregory Barnett; aunts: Aerianna Lewis, Ginae Barnett, and Lisa Taylor; uncles: Ira Lewis, Michael Buckner, and Javon Taylor and a host of cousins and friends.
A service honoring his spirit was held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
