Mr. Dearieo McFadden

Mr. Dearieo McFadden, 79, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 5, 2012.  He was born in Hemingway, SC to the late George W. and Lovenia McFadden.  Mr. McFadden attended High School in Wilmington, NC and served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, when he was honorably discharged.  He was employed at Lucent (formerly Western Electric) for thirty-three and a half years. He was a devoted member of Lloyd Presbyterian Church.
 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Samuel (Pearlean), George, John Wesley, Dock, and Norman McFadden; sister, Betty Jean McFadden, stepsons: Richard and Odyses White and step-grandson, Kenneth William Wright Jr. 
 
Mr. McFadden is survived by his loving wife, Estella McFadden of the home; stepdaughters: Gloria Richardson and Vernessa (Kenneth)Wright of Winston-Salem; stepsons: Glen White of Winston-Salem, Tony White of Sacramento, Ca, Ronzoni (Carolyn) White of Knob Knobster, MO; sisters: Mary Coulter of Honolulu, Hawaii and Barbara McGloucking (NJ); brothers: Claire (Inez) McFadden of Hemingway, SC and Robert McFadden of Winston-Salem; a devoted sister-in-law, Sally Mae McFadden (Winston-Salem), a devoted nephew, George McFadden(Winston Salem); two adopted daughters: Inez Conner and Brenda Burke of Winston-Salem; two devoted friends: John C. Blue and Freddie Young (Winston-Salem); a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
 
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Goler Memorial AME Zion Church. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Park.
