Mrs. Barbara Caudle Ellis, 81, departed on March 26, 2014 in Wilmington, DE. Wife of Henderson A. Ellis, Sr. (deceased) and Mother of Henderson A. Ellis, Jr. (LaTanya) of DE; Sister of: Hazel Caudle Morton of DE; Sister-In-Law of: Walter Ellis (Evelyn) and Mattie Ellis Ikard of Newton, NC; Six Grandchildren : Brittany Steele Williams (Tobias), Joshua Steele (Burgundi), Jai'Esha Bovell, Henderson A. Ellis, III, Earl Ellis and Heniah Collier-Ellis; Two Great Grandchildren: Hayden Williams, Cameron Steele; 2nd Mother and favorite Aunt of: Kimberley Hampton-Morton. Mrs. Barbara Caudle Ellis worked and retired as an educator in the Christina School District for many years. She formerly taught in the public schools in North Carolina prior to coming to Delaware. She was educated in the public schools in North Carolina, was a graduate of Winston-Salem State University and was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Barbara did further studies at the University of Connecticut. She was a bible scholar and received many degrees in biblical teaching. Barbara had a genuine love for music, sang in many choirs all over Delaware and North Carolina and was well known for her beautiful soprano voice. Barbara is survived by a host of other nieces, nephews and family members. Funeral: Thursday, April 3, 20104 - 11:00a.m. at Central Baptist Church, 839 North Pine Street, Wilmington, DE 19801. Viewing: Saturday, April 5, 2014; 10:00a.m. -12:00 p.m. at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Burial: Saturday, April 5, 2014 - Evergreen Cemetery, Winston Salem, NC.
