Mrs. Mozella S. McLean

Mrs. Mozella Stone Pelzer McLean passed away peacefully at the Lutheran Home on June 6, 2012. Until her illness, she faithfully attended and served God and her community at the United House of Prayer For All People. Mozella was born to the late Joseph Sr. and Flora Stone on February 21, 1918. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Doris P. Townsend, one son, Emanuel Grace Pelzer, one grandson, Cedric H. Cheeks, one brother, Sir Hilton Stone, Sr. and one daughter-in-law, Veronica Pelzer.
Mozella is survived by one daughter, Shirley P. Cheeks, and two sons, Curtis (Mary) Pelzer and Donald Pelzer of Winston-Salem, NC; one grandson whom she raised, Curtis H. (Sandra) Cheeks, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC; one daughter-in-law, Margaret Pelzer, two brothers: Joseph (Opal) Stone, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC and John W. (Hester) Stone of Columbus, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Ruby Stone; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; a God child, James "Tiger" Harris, Jr,; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2012 at United House of Prayer For All People, 1506 Ivy Avenue. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
