Mr. Dallas D. Shaw

Mr. Dallas D. Shaw, 46, passed away on April 20, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC. Dallas was born on March 17, 1968 in Dunn, NC to Helen Shaw and James McNeill. He spent his childhood in Fayetteville, NC and attended the public schools. He was a graduate of Central Carolina Community College.

Dallas has spent the past 14 years living in Winston-Salem, NC where he was a shipping supervisor for Dudley Products and a self-employed barber. He had many loves which included his nieces and nephews, older people and people in general. He had an infectious smile, enjoyed the outdoors and was a motorcycle enthusiast. Dallas loved “hanging with the fellas” especially if they were in Las Vegas.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Terrell Shaw and his beloved grandmother Corena Shaw.

Left to cherish their memories of Dallas are: his wife of 12 years, Tracey Shaw; his mother, Helen Shaw of Greensboro, NC; mother-in-law, Mary Smith of Dunn, NC, Adopted son Josh Jenkins of Fayetteville; sisters-in–law, Aqua Smith of Dunn, Chrystal Smith of Germany, Felica Whitworth of Raleigh, Tonya Draper of NY, Serena Smith of Cary; Sister, Nicole Buresh(Shawn) of Winston Salem; Brothers –in-law, Jonathan Smith of Winston Salem, Herb Smith of Dunn. Brothers, Myron McNeill of NY and James McNeill of MO; Father, James ‘Duke’ McNeill of MO. Father-in-law, Herbert Smith (Brenda) of NY; Paternal Grandmother, Isabel Ralls of Godwin, NC; Nine Aunts; Four Uncles; Six Nieces; Eleven Nephews and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday April 26, 2014 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown and Sons Funeral Home in Winston Salem. The family visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour in the chapel and Mr. Shaw will be available for public viewing on Friday 12 Noon-7pm. Graveside rites and burial at Rest Haven Cemetery, Dunn NC on Sunday with a 12:30 viewing and service immediately following. The family will receive friends at 907 Cedarbranch Trail, Winston Salem, NC.
